TEDDY BEAR TOSS AND BIG BUDDIES THIS SATURDAY:
After the Condors head to Ontario for a game on Friday night, they return to the Mercy and Memorial Hospitals Home Ice at Rabobank Arena on Saturday to host the Idaho Steelheads for the 10th annual Teddy Bear Toss, sponsored by KBAK-29, KERN 1410 and Wells Fargo. All fans are encouraged to bring stuffed animals to be thrown onto the ice when the Condors score their first goal.
All the stuffed animals will be collected and donated to less-fortunate children through the United Way of Kern County. Last season's Teddy Bear Toss drew a standing-room-only, sell-out crowd, so be sure to order your tickets in advance and show up early on Saturday! Doors open at 6 p.m., puck drops at 7 p.m.
All fans in attendance Saturday will also receive a free "Condors Top Guns" poster, featuring LW Mark Derlago and F Matt Caruana!
Saturday will also be the first Condors Big Buddies Night of the year. The Big Buddies program affords local businesses the opportunity to sponsor non-profit youth organizations, enabling them to bring under-privileged kids to the game, not only sharing the excitement of Condors hockey with the kids, but also the magic of Teddy Bear Toss. For more information on how to get involved with the Condors Big Buddies program, contact the front office today at (661) 324-PUCK (7825).
In addition to being broadcast on ESPN Radio 1230, B2 Networks and Bakersfieldcondors.com, Saturday's game will be televised live on Bright House Networks Ch. 21, and available On Demand on Ch. 300 starting Sunday.
Individual game tickets are on sale and may be purchased through the Rabobank Arena Box Office, which is open from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday with extended hours on game days.
