South Carolina Stingrays News Release
The Stingrays had a busy week last week, playing four games in five days against Charlotte, Mississippi, and Dayton.
On Wednesday, the team traveled to Charlotte to play them for the fourth time this month and ended the game with the same outcome, a victory over the Checkers! Friday, the team returned home for the first time since Nov. 6th to face the Mississippi Sea Wolves. After falling behind 3-1, the team rallied in the third period to tie up the game and force it into overtime. After a scoreless overtime, the Stingrays failed to score in the shootout and lost 4-3.
On Saturday, Dayton came to town, the first time this season the Rays faced a team from the North. Newest Stingray Jeff Corey scored two goals, but the Stingrays ultimately lost 3-2.
