Bakersfield Condors News Release

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, official ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, have announced that the orange jumpsuit-style jerseys they will don for Rod Blagojevich Prison Uniform Night will go up for auction on eBay starting Friday evening.

The jerseys are part of a promotional tribute in Las Vegas for the impeached Illinois governor that will also see the Wranglers wear black-and-white striped prison jerseys, and the referee and linesmen will wear blue prison guard-style jerseys. Bakersfield's jerseys are colored bright orange and feature the Condors logo on each shoulder, as well as black numbers and letters. On the front right chest will be a label featuring "DOC" (for Dept. of Corrections) and the player's number. In addition, the Wranglers game operations staff will refer to the Condors as the "Condvicts" throughout the evening in print and PA announcements. To read the Wranglers release, click here.

Bidding on the jerseys will begin at $250, and the auction will open at 6 p.m. on Friday night. It will remain open through Sunday, Feb. 8 at 6 p.m. The proceeds will benefit Condors Charities. Two jerseys are being set aside for future Condors charity auctions, but the rest of the team's game-worn sweaters will all go online Friday night. Visit eBay.com and type "Bakersfield Condors Jersey" in the search box to find the jerseys and start the bidding. The Wranglers will be holding a separate auction through their website for their jerseys and those of the officials.

Game time Friday night is 7:30 p.m. at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. The game can be heard live on ESPN Radio 1230 with the "Voice of the Condors" Kevin Bartl, as well as free streaming audio online at Bakersfieldcondors.com, or pay per view through B2 Networks.
