
Checkers Daigneault Recalled To Wolf Pack

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League announced today that they have recalled goaltender Maxime Daigneault from the Charlotte Checkers.
Daigneault, 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, signed with the Wolf Pack before the start of this season but has spent the majority of his time with the Checkers. This season in Charlotte, he has a record of 8-8 with a 3.20 goals against average and .899 save percentage in 17 games played. Daigneault was a 2nd round draft pick of the Washington Capitals during the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. Last season, he won the Kelly Cup with the Cincinnati Cyclones playing in seven post-season contests. This will mark his second call-up of the season to Hartford.
The Checkers are playing in their 16th season of play as a member of the ECHL. The next home game will take place on Feb 5th against the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:00 p.m. In the team's 15-year history, the Checkers have made the playoffs 11 times including four consecutive playoff appearances to date.
