January 29, 2009 - ECHL (ECHL)
Alaska Aces News Release
The Alaska Aces are going all-out to celebrate Alaska's statehood during their upcoming games against Ontario Reign this week.
The festivities kick off with the singing of the Alaska state song after the national anthem. Then, during the first intermission, dancers from the Alaska Native Heritage Center take the ice to perform for Aces fans. A commemorative Aces statehood t-shirt will also be available for purchase. Former Alaska Gov. Tony Knowles will also be on hand to drop the puck at the game on Saturday.
In honor of Alaska's statehood, GCI is giving away 50,000 Alaska Airline mileage plan miles to the 100,000th fan through the door on Friday or Saturday! Finally, an exclusive, one-of-a-kind Aces statehood jersey will be auctioned off after the game on Saturday.
