Victoria's Gendur Suspended Two Games

January 29, 2009 - ECHL (ECHL) News Release

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced that Victoria right wing Dan Gendur has been suspended two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #481 against Stockton on Jan. 27.

Gendur was assessed a Match Penalty for slashing at 18:19 of the third period.

He was automatically suspended for one game as a result of the Match Penalty and was suspended for one more game after the incident was reviewed completely.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Gendur missed Victoria's game against Stockton (Jan. 28) and will miss Victoria's game against Las Vegas (Feb. 4).
