BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Condors Boxing Day Collection was held on Friday, Dec. 26 outside Rabobank Arena prior to the Condors 7-3 victory over the Stockton Thunder. Fans were invited to donate gently used clothing and household items in celebration of the Canadian holiday. Boxing Day is traditionally celebrated by the boxing up of gently used items and giving them to the needy, the day after Christmas.

The donations were collected by Goodwill workers and will be sold at their local outlets. All proceeds that will be raised from the items collected directly fund Goodwill's employment and job training programs that benefit thousands of people, many with disabilities, and enable them to reach their fullest potential.

"Goodwill Industries truly appreciates all the opportunities and the partnership with the Bakersfield Condors," said Logistics Manager Ed Delgado. "We received bags with clothes and others with toys and wares that will help service our community and fulfill our mission. Thank you to the Condors fans for donations at the Condors game for Boxing Day."

If so, all you have to do is email a photo of your child in Condors or hockey gear as a JPG file to Brian Marsh at bmarsh@bakersfieldcondors.com. The pictures that are posted online are reserved for Kids Club members, but the "Future Condors" pictures on the Jumbotron are open to everyone.
