
Huxley Earns First Recall, Bina and Fisher Reassigned

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, the proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers and American Hockey League's Springfield Falcons, announced forward Adam Huxley (HUCKS-lee) has been recalled from the Thunder to Springfield.
In addition, it was announced defenseman Robbie Bina (BEE-na) and goaltender Glenn Fisher have been reassigned to the Thunder from Springfield.
Bina, 25, has skated in seven games for the Thunder this season, scoring three points (1g-2a) while adding eight penalty minutes. The 5-foot-8, 180-pound defenseman was signed by the Falcons to an AHL contract in the summer of 2008 and has scored four assists in 16 games this year for Springfield, notching 16 penalty minutes.
Fisher, 25, returns for his second season in a Thunder uniform and was reassigned after the Falcons received goaltender Jeff-Drouin Deslauriers from Edmonton on a two-week conditioning assignment. Selected in the fifth round (148th overall) by the Oilers in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Fisher has appeared in three games for Springfield this season, posting a .900 save percentage, 0-1-0 record and a 3.00 goals-against-average.
Last year, Fisher posted a record of 14-19-2, a save percentage of .903 and a 3.36 goals-against-average in 38 games for the Thunder in his rookie season. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound goaltender posted two shutouts last year and set a Thunder record for a shutout streak of 158 minutes and 48 seconds.
Huxley's recall to the American Hockey League is the first in his career and signed an AHL contract with Springfield after the 2006-07 season. The fifth-year forward is the Thunder all-time leader with 533 penalty minutes, additionally posting 28 points (11g-17a) in 148 career games in a Thunder uniform. This season, Huxley has scored six goals in 25 games, adding 92 penalty minutes.
The 6-foot, 195-pounder has appeared in 248 career ECHL games with the Thunder, Victoria Salmon Kings, Las Vegas Wranglers and Alaska Aces, amassing 988 penalty minutes and 50 points (21g-29a).
The Thunder returns to play for its next game on Wednesday, Dec. 31 against the Alaska Aces at 8:15 p.m. from Sullivan Arena, starting a five-game road trip.
