Biloxi, MS - The Mississippi Sea Wolves were 0-2-0 last week, losing at South Carolina 3-2 on Saturday and 6-3 on Sunday.

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC - Ryan Menei scored a pair of goals in the first period, but the Sea Wolves ultimately fell to the South Carolina Stingrays 3-2 at the North Charleston Coliseum on Saturday evening.

Scott Romfo got the Stingrays on the board when his shot from the left point deflected past Sea Wolves goalie Ryan Munce at 4:07 of the first period. Just 51 seconds later, Ryan Menei went to the net and hammered the rebound of Mark Rooneem's drive to the net past South Carolina's Ian Vigier to even the score at one-apiece. Menei potted his second of the game, picking up another Rooneem rebound in the low slot at 15:35 of the first to give the Sea Wolves a 2-1 lead.

Maxime Lacroix evened the score for South Carolina when he hammered home the rebound of Brad Farynuk's shot from the point 3:49 into the second period.

Michael Dubuc scored the winner for the Stingrays when he grabbed the rebound of his own shot and made a wraparound move behind the net to beat Munce at 12:50 of the third period.

Ryan Munce made 30 saves on 33 shots, taking the loss for Mississippi, and the Sea Wolves were 0-for-6 on the power play.

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC - Despite mounting a third period charge, the Mississippi Sea Wolves fell to the South Carolina Stingrays by the score of 6-3 at the North Charleston Coliseum on Sunday afternoon.

Michael Dubuc scored his second goal in as many games when he backhanded Nate Kiser's centering pass over Mississippi netminder Jeremy Duchesne at 10:06 of the first period.

Scott Romfo's third goal of the year on a redirection of Johann Kroll's shot from the point gave South Carolina a 2-0 lead at 19:19 of the second period. Just 13 seconds later, Michael Dubuc beat Duchesne on the glove side for his second goal of the game, giving the Stingrays a 3-0 lead heading into the locker room after two periods.

Mississippi got on the board when Jason Tejchma redirected a shot from Justin Coutu past Stingrays goalie Ian Vigier at 6:29 of the third. South Carolina regained its' three-goal lead when Dubuc blasted the rebound of Romfo's shot at 11:13 of the rid. Mark Rooneem trimmed the South Carolina lead back to two when he made a move to the backhand and roofed the puck over Vigier at 11:58 of the third. Pat Oliveto drew Mississippi within one when he found the back of the net with a wrist shot from the top of the right circle at 15:45.

The Sea Wolves had several scoring chances with Duchesne on the bench for an extra attacker in the waning minute of the third, but Maxime Lacroix was able to intercept a Sea Wolves' pass and score on the empty net at 19:15 of the third period. Dubuc would add his fourth of the game 24 seconds later to give South Carolina a 6-3 win.

Jeremy Duchesne made 32 saves on 37 shots to earn the loss, and the Sea Wolves were 0-for-9 on the power play.
