(Florence, KY) - The Florence Freedom, presented by Titan Mechanical Solutions, have six home games remaining as they make the only playoff push fans can watch in the Greater Cincinnati area.
Florence is one game back of the Rockford Aviators for the final spot in the Frontier League playoffs with nine games remaining. The Freedom hold the tiebreaker if they finish in a tie with Rockford for the playoffs. Six of the nine remaining games are at home starting tonight.
The Freedom welcome the Frontier Greys to town tonight for a weekend series at UC Health Stadium. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. with Freedom ace Jeremy Gooding (6-4, 2.92 ERA) on the mound. Gooding is coming off a dominant performance against the Schaumburg Boomers on August 23 as he went six shutout innings in a 5-0 Freedom win.
Florence has won 8 of their last 10 games entering tonight's action. Their record is 44-43 and the Freedom are looking to make their third appearance in the Frontier League playoffs in the last four years.
