San Antonio Rampage News Release
SAN ANTONIO (Oct. 22, 2017) - The Colorado Avalanche earlier today announced that forwards A.J. Greer and Gabriel Bourque have been recalled from the San Antonio Rampage. Additionally, the St. Louis Blues have reassigned forward Samuel Blais (BLAY) to San Antonio.
Greer has made two appearances with San Antonio this season, recording two assists and a plus-three plus-minus ratio. He collected 38 points (15g/23a) in 63 contests with the Rampage during the 2016-17 season, while recording one assist in five games with the Avalanche. Originally drafted by the Avalanche in the second round (39th overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft, Greer made his NHL debut on Nov. 13 vs. the Boston Bruins. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound forward was selected as an AHL All-Star and the winner of the Yanick Dupré Memorial Award last season.
Bourque's second call-up to the Avalanche serves as Colorado's third recall from San Antonio this season. The 5-foot-10, 200-pound forward skated in six games with the Avalanche during the 2016-17 season, and has collected 78 points (31g/47a) in 248 NHL contests throughout his career. Greer and Bourque join former Rampage players J.T. Compher, Chris Bigras, Nikita Zadorov, and Mikko Rantanen in Colorado.
Blais, 21, has dressed in four games for the Blues this season, recording one assist and two penalty minutes. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound forward has also appeared in two games with the Rampage, tallying four points (3g/1a) and two penalty minutes. In 2016-17, Blais played in 75 regular season games for the Chicago Wolves, posting 43 points (26g/17a) and 58 penalty minutes. The Montmagny, Quebec, native was originally drafted by the Blues in the sixth round (176th overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft.
San Antonio returns to the AT&T Center at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27 for a contest against the San Jose Barracuda. Individual and season tickets for the 2017-18 campaign are available and can be purchased by calling a Rampage representative at 210-444-5554 or online at SARampage.com. The 2017-18 season is presented by H-E-B and Wells Fargo.
