
Hogs Hope to Stay Hot against Hershey

ROCKFORD, Ill. -The Rockford IceHogs seek to stretch their winning streak to three games as they take on the Hershey Bears for the first time in franchise history at the BMO Harris Bank Center Sunday afternoon.
Puck drop is at 4 p.m. and fans can tune in to all the action on Cozi TV 23.3 or Dish Network Channel 252, beginning with IceHogs Warmup at 3:30 p.m. IceHogs fans can also listen to the game at sportsfanradio1330.com or watch live at AHLlive.com (subscription required).
Matchup: The IceHogs enter today's game having won the first two games of a three-game weekend, defeating division rivals Grand Rapids on Friday and Milwaukee on Sunday. Rockford currently sits at 4-1-0-0 on the season.
Vinnie Hinostroza leads the team in points with 3g-4a-7pts following a three-point performance on the road in Milwaukee. Rookie forward Matthew Highmore ranks second on the IceHogs in points and sixth among AHL rookies with 3g-3a-6pts in five games. In net, Rockford goaltender J.F. Berube has won each of his three starts with a 1.95 GAA and .939 save percentage.
Hershey is also finishing a three-games-in-three-days stretch, and earned its first win of the 2017-18 season in Grand Rapids last night. Their record stands at 1-3-0-1, good for 6th place in the Atlantic Division.
Forwards Chandler Stephenson (5g-1a-6pts) and Chris Bourque (2g-4a-6pts) lead the team in scoring, and Hershey also boasts the League's top penalty kill unit (92.9%).
TRANSACTION: IceHogs G Collin Delia has been reassigned to the Indy Fuel by the Chicago Blackhawks.
Next Home Game: The Rockford IceHogs return the BMO Harris Bank Center on Friday, Oct. 27 for another matchup against the Milwaukee Admirals. The division rivals have split the season series thus far with one win apiece.
