Minnesota Wild Recalls Forwards Justin Kloos and Luke Kunin

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled forwards Justin Kloos and Luke Kunin (pronounced KUHN-in) from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Kloos, 23 (11/30/93), has recorded three points (1-23), six penalty minutes (PIM) and 10 shots on goal in six contests with Iowa this season. The 5-foot-9, 180-pound native of Lakeville, Minn., recorded 43 points (18-2543), including six game-winning goals and six power-play tallies in 38 games during his senior season with the University of Minnesota in 2016-17. The two-year team captain led the Gophers in GWG, ranked second in PPG and third in assists and goals last season. Kloos tallied 150 points (63-87150) in 155 games in four seasons at the University of Minnesota and did not miss a game during his collegiate career. He was signed by Minnesota as a free agent on March 29, 2017, and has not appeared in an NHL game. Kloos will wear sweater No. 82 with Wild.

Kunin, 19 (12/4/97), recorded two assists for his first career NHL points, led the team with four hits and skated 11:47 in Saturday's 4-2 win at Calgary. He owns two assists and seven hits in three games with Minnesota this season and two points (1-12) and four PIM in two contests with Iowa. The 6-foot, 193-pound native of Chesterfield, Mo., made his NHL debut against Columbus on Oct. 14. Kunin was selected by Minnesota in the first round (15th overall) of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft and wears sweater No. 19 with the Wild.

Minnesota begins a six-game homestand Tuesday against the Vancouver Canucks at 7 p.m. on FOX Sports North and KFAN 100.3 FM.
