Anaheim Ducks Announce Roster Move

SAN DIEGO - The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled center Kalle Kossila from the San Diego Gulls, Anaheim's primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Kossila, 24 (4/14/93), appeared in one game with Anaheim last season, making his NHL debut on Jan. 25, 2017. Kossila began this season with San Diego, collecting 2-46 points with six penalty minutes in five AHL games. At the time of his recall, Kossila led the Gulls in scoring, co-led in assists and ranked second in goals.

Signed as a free agent on Mar. 30, 2016, Kossila registered 14-3448 points with a +19 rating and eight PIM in 65 games with San Diego last season. He led the Gulls in assists, ranked second in points and plus/minus, and tied for third in appearances. The Kauniainen, Finland native also appeared in 10 Calder Cup Playoff games in 2017, earning 2-46 points with two PIM.
