Kaskisuo to Backstop Wolves

GLENVIEW, Ill. - The Chicago Wolves announced Monday that goaltender Kasimir Kaskisuo has been loaned to the club by the Toronto Maple Leafs (NHL).
The 24-year-old joined on the Toronto organization on March 28, 2016, when he relinquished his final two years of eligibility at the University of Minnesota Duluth and signed an entry-level contract with the Maple Leafs as a free agent.
Kaskisuo made his professional debut with the American Hockey Leauge's Toronto Marlies against the Syracuse Crunch on April 1, 2016.
At the AHL level, the native of Finland has appeared in 10 regular-season games with the Marlies. He has compiled a 7-1-2 record with a 1.88 goals-against average and .931 save percentage.
The 2017 Calder Cup Playoffs marked his first postseason experience as he backstopped Toronto for 10 contests and finished with a 5-3 record as well as a 2.66 GAA and .892 save percentage.
In his first full professional season - 2016-17 - Kaskisuo tended net for the Orlando Solar Bears for 32 ECHL games. He compiled a 14-11-5 record along with a .899 save percentage and 3.45 goals-against average.
