
Colliton Recalled, Collins Returning & Tsimikalis Signs

HARTFORD, CT - The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have announced the recall of Jeremy Colliton by the big club, the return from recall of Rob Collins and the signing of Peter Tsimikalis to an amateur tryout contract.
Tsimikalis, 20, comes to the Sound Tigers from the Ontario Hockey League's Oshawa Generals whom he led in scoring with 70 assists and 99 points in addition to posting 29 goals and 69 penalty minutes in 64 games this season. The 6'0'' 185-pounder from Aurora, Ontario split last season between Oshawa and the OHL's Ottawa 67's and spent all of the previous two years (2002-04) with Ottawa, including the 67's team that reached the 2003 OHL Playoff Finals.
Colliton leads all Sound Tigers rookies and ranks among the team leaders in scoring with 19 goals, 30 assists, 49 points and 44 penalty minutes in 62 AHL games in addition to posting two penalty minutes in nine NHL games with the Islanders this season. Collins, who was recalled by the big club last Friday, leads all Sound Tigers with 42 assists and 61 points and also has 19 goals and 48 penalty minutes in 58 AHL games, as well as one goal, one assist and two points in six NHL games with the Islanders this season.
The Sound Tigers will finish a three-in-three weekend and stretch of seven straight road games when they visit the Hartford Wolf Pack tonight at 7 p.m. and the Springfield Falcons tomorrow at 4:05 p.m. All Sound Tigers games are web-cast live at www.soundtigers.com. Fans can also watch all AHL games live on the Internet via the B2 Networks pay per view.
