The Chicago Wolves have signed defenseman NATHAN OYSTRICK (OY-STRIHK) to an Amateur Tryout Contract.

The 23-year-old blueliner was named to the Central Collegiate Hockey Association's First All-Star Team for the second consecutive year after sharing third among league defensemen with a career-high nine goals and fourth with 20 assists and a career-high 29 points in 38 games during his senior year at Northern Michigan University.

The Regina, Saskatchewan, native shared first among CCHA defensemen with three game-winning goals and six power-play tallies.

OYSTRICK, the Atlanta Thrashers' seventh-round pick (198th overall) in the 2002 National Hockey League Entry Draft, collected 26 goals, 63 assists, 89 points and 269 penalty minutes in 151 games spanning four seasons with the Wildcats.
