December 20, 2014 - ECHL (ECHL)
Stockton Thunder News Release

Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's New York Islanders and the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, will be without forward Sebastian Collberg as he has been reassigned by the Islanders to the Sound Tigers ahead of tonight's game versus the Idaho Steelheads.

Collberg played just six games with the Thunder during which time he scored 4 goals and 3 assists and leaves the Central Valley amidst a five-game point streak. He collected one game-winning goal, a goal of the year candidate, against Alaska at home on December 6.

The Mariestad, Sweden native rejoins Bridgeport where earlier this season he played in 10 games. He registered a goal and an assist in his first season with the Sound Tigers.

Collberg, 20, was a second round pick of the Montreal Canadiens in 2012 and was acquired by the Islanders last season in the deadline deal that sent Thomas Vanek to Montreal.

Collberg will be missing tonight's game against the Idaho Steelheads when the Thunder will hand out kids replica jerseys to the first 500 children 12-years-old and younger. For tickets call (209) 373-1500 or visit StocktonThunder.com .
