December 20, 2014 - ECHL (ECHL)
Evansville IceMen News Release

EVANSVILLE, Ind.- Evansville IceMen, presented by Coors Light, forward Kevin Harvey has been suspended for tonight's game against the Reading Royals. Harvey laid a check on Reading's Sean Wiles that resulted in a boarding major and Harvey's ejection from Friday's game.

The ECHL released the following statement regarding Harvey's suspension: "Evansville's Kevin Harvey has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #255, Reading at Evansville, on Dec. 19.

Harvey was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for boarding under Rule #41.5 at 0:20 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Harvey will miss Evansville's game against Reading tonight (Dec. 20)"

Unable to compete in tonight's game, Harvey will miss his first contest of the season after playing in the IceMen's first 23 games. Harvey is tied for the league lead in major penalties with 10 and ranks fifth in overall penalty minutes with 98. He has six goals and three assists this season.

Harvey will be eligible to return when the IceMen take on Fort Wayne on Sunday night. However, due to the Indianapolis Colts game, there will be no radio broadcast of Sunday's game on ESPN Evansville 105.3.

Fans will still be able to see the game live at Bar Louie, the Official Away Game Viewing Party Destination of the Evansville IceMen. Sunday's game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. and can also been seen on ECHL TV.

Evansville will wrap up its six game home stand with a rematch against the Reading Royals on Saturday night. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. as the IceMen look to snap a six-game losing streak.

Come celebrate the holidays with the IceMen on Saturday night as the first 3,000 fans through the doors will receive a free IceMen stocking. Evansville will wear "Ugly Christmas Sweater Jerseys" that will be auctioned off after the game.
