Parent and Freibergs Return to Reign from St. John's

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, four-time Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's 2014 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings and Winnipeg Jets, announced that veteran defenseman Ryan Parent has been released from his professional tryout agreement (PTO) with the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League and will return to Ontario, while rookie defenseman Ralfs Freibergs has been reassigned to the Reign from St. John's.

Parent, 27, was signed to a PTO by the IceCaps on Dec. 19 and appeared in one game for St. John's. The rearguard has played four games with Ontario this season, collecting one assist.

Freibergs, 23, played four games with the IceCaps since his recall on Dec. 5, notching two assists. The Riga, Latvia native has suited up in 20 games with the Reign this season, collecting three points (2g-1a) and four penalty minutes.

Reign Drops :

The Reign play their second of three games in three nights when they host the Colorado Eagles on Saturday, Dec. 20 at 6 p.m.

Sunday's game against Colorado at 3 p.m. is also Jeffrey Hallock Night. The Reign will recognize this longtime season ticket holder, who won a night in his honor.
