Christy Becomes Fourth Wingnuts All-Star

WICHITA, KS- Wingnuts' catcher Jeff Christy has been added to the North Division All-Star team.

Christy is currently hitting .302 with one home run and 15 RBI in 41 games. The Lincoln, NE native amassed a career-best 15-game hitting streak from May 29th through June 18th in which he was 24 for 48 (.500).

Christy joins Josh Horn, Nick Singleton, and Justin Dowdy to give the Wingnuts four all-stars. Starting catcher Shawn McGill of the Lincoln Saltdogs was signed by the Atlanta Braves' organization earlier today, opening a spot for Christy.

The University of Phoenix - Wichita Campus 2010 American Association All-Star Game is on Tuesday, July 27th at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium at 7:05 p.m. For more information, call the Wingnuts' office at (316) 264-NUTS.
