Chris Haggin Joins Grizzlies Radio Team

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies announced today that Chris Haggin has been named co-host of "Utah Grizzlies Hockey Night" which will air 30 minutes before and after every game broadcast on Utah Grizzlies Radio 860 AM. Haggin will also continue his third season as the team's in-arena public address announcer during all Utah home games.

Haggin brings over 20 years of radio experience to Grizzlies Radio; most notably as an on-air talent for Salt Lake's KBER 101 FM and the former Z-93 FM. In addition to his pre and post-game work, the Utah native will also put individual Grizzlies players into "Haggin's Hot Seat" during select first intermission reports.

"As we extend our pre and post-game radio coverage, we felt it was necessary to expand our broadcast team," said Grizzlies Senior Vice President/COO Michael Schetzel. "We are excited to have added to Chris' role within our organization. Our listeners will enjoy his insight and sense of humor on the radio." Second-year play-by-play broadcaster Adrian Denny will begin his first full season of working solo during the game itself.

Chris Haggin will make his Grizzlies Radio debut when Utah opens the season at Phoenix Friday, October 20. "Utah Grizzlies Hockey Night" begins at 7:40 p.m., with an 8:11 p.m. face-off on Utah Grizzlies Radio 860 AM and UtahGrizzlies.com. The home opener for Utah is Friday, October 27 versus Las Vegas at the E-Center.

The Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL, enter their second season in America's "Premier AA Hockey League." There are currently 23 former Utah Grizzlies players on NHL rosters. The Grizzlies are owned and operated by the Elmore Sports Group and play at the E-Center of West Valley City, which hosted hockey during the 2002 Winter Olympics.
