BOISE, Idaho, April 6, 2012 - The Idaho Stampede have re-acquired guard Chris Davis (6-3, 185, Southern), the club announced today.
Davis (b. 1/26/86) is averaging 6.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 31 games this year, 16 as a member of the Stampede, 15 with the Reno Bighorns. With Idaho, Davis is averaging 6.8 points and 2.2 rebounds in 16 games. In 104 career D-League games (three starts), Davis is averaging 4.6 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.
Davis was the seventh round pick (103rd overall) in the 2009 NBA Development League Draft. The Baton Rouge, La. native played for the Chicago Bulls in the 2009 NBA Summer League and in his senior season at Southern University was named to the All-SWAC third team.
In order to make room on the roster, the Stampede have waived Marcus Banks due to personal reasons.
