
Field Set for 2012 NBA Development League Playoffs Presented by BBVA

NEW YORK - The eight team field for the 2011-12 NBA Development League playoffs presented by BBVA was set tonight, with the Austin Toros (32-17), Bakersfield Jam (28-20), Canton Charge (27-22), Dakota Wizards (29-20), Erie BayHawks (27-22), Iowa Energy (25-24), Los Angeles D-Fenders (37-12) and Springfield Armor (28-21) advancing to the post season.
The D-Fenders own the League's best record and the top seed in the West, while the Wizards currently hold the top spot in the East.
For the fourth consecutive year, the top three seeded teams, the two conference winners and the wild card entrant with the best regular-season record, will select their first round playoff opponent among the teams seeded five-eight. The fourth seeded team will play the remaining unselected team.
The 2012 NBA D-League playoffs presented by BBVA will begin no earlier than Tuesday, April 10, with a full schedule to be announced on Sunday, April 8.
