
Chiefs to Raise Money for Hurrican Relief Efforts

This is your chance to help a good cause and also enjoy Peoria Chiefs baseball with 20 people from the Suite level. The Peoria Chiefs, NEXTEL and AAA Radio are proud to offer the Mark Grace Suite for this Sunday's (Sep 4) Peoria Chiefs-South Bend Silver Hawks game which begins at 2:00 PM with gates opening at 1:00 PM. The winning bidder will receive the use of the Mark Grace Suite for the game along with 20 tickets. The Suite will be stocked with snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. All 20 people will also receive a Peoria Chiefs/NEXTEL party pack. The bid will start at $200 and increase in increments of $10. Bidding will close at 9:00 PM (Central Time) on Friday September 2nd. All money raised will go to the American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund!
All fans who donate $10 or more at any remaining Chiefs game will receive a voucher good for one free ticket to an April or May Chiefs game next season. The Chiefs will set up various donation buckets around the stadium starting Friday when the team takes on South Bend at 7:00 PM.
In addition, the Chiefs will have items available in silent auction format at all four games. The Chiefs will auction items signed by current and former Chiefs and include baseballs, bats and hopefully jerseys. The team will also have signed baseballs from Nomar Garciaparra and Kerry Wood available for auction. All of the money from the auctions will go to the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund.
Last Chance to Use Unused Season Tickets
This weekend marks the final homestand of the 2005 regular season as the Chiefs take on the First Half Eastern Division Champion South Bend Silver Hawks. The four game series marks the final chance for season ticket holders to redeem UNUSED SEASON TICKETS in the Chiefs exchange policy. Season ticket holders can give their unused tickets to clients, employees, co-workers, friends, family etc. Any unused season ticket can be redeemed at the O'Brien Field box office for a similar seat based on availability. Chiefs Close to Breaking Single Season Attendance Record
The Chiefs enter the weekend homestand with an overall season attendance just under 240,000 and within 14,600 of the franchise record of 254,407 set in 2002. The Chiefs will closely monitor the attendance this weekend and the individual who breaks the record as the 254,408th person into the ballpark in 2005 will win a pair of 2006 Season Tickets in the Club Box level!!!
Final Weekend Loaded with Great Promotions
The final weekend series is loaded with promotions and fan friendly activities. For starters, all tickets on Sunday will be $4.00 and Club Box and Box Seats will be $4.00 on Monday with Lawn Seats at $3.00. Friday September 2nd is Anger Management Night and the first 1500 fans to the 7:00 PM game will receive Stress Balls courtesy of Proforma. On Saturday September 3rd, the game starts at 6:30 PM and will be followed by the final Fireworks show of the season. Also on Saturday, the giveaway will be a Matchbox car courtesy of Matchbox. On Sunday September 4th, the Chiefs starting pitcher will be Angel Guzman who is on the Cubs 40-man roster and rehabbing from a shoulder injury. The first 1500 kids will receive Team Folders courtesy of the Peoria Chiefs. Also, after the 2:00 game the Chiefs players will sign autographs and the kids can run the bases. At the final regular season game at 2:00 PM on Monday September 5th, all fans will have a chance to take home various leftover giveaways from the 2005 season as part of Fan Appreciation Day. Leftover giveaways include Action Figurines, Player baseballs, Darth Taters, hats, shirts, bottle cozies, etc. Also on Monday the Chiefs will give out the 2005 Player Awards including team MVP in a pre-game on-field ceremony.
