Chiefs stymie Cyclones, 3-1

Cincinnati, Ohio (March 27, 2007) - The Johnstown Chiefs defeated the Cincinnati Cyclones by a score of 3-1 at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio on Tuesday morning.

After two scoreless periods, the Chiefs got on the board with a power-play goal from Zbynek Hrdel when he knocked the puck off of Cincinnati's Cedrick Desjardins at 2:18. Cincinnati tied the game a one when Travis Lisabeth fired a wrist shot off the blocker of Chiefs goaltender Ryan Munce at 12:09 of the third period. Marek Kvapil then gave the Chiefs a 2-1 lead when he skated down the right wing and beat Desjardins with a wrist shot at 13:37. Kvapil's empty-net goal at 19:05 sealed the Chiefs win.

Ryan Munce made 25 saves for Johnstown, and the Chiefs were 1-for-4 on the power play.
