COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (August 19) - The Sky Sox made Omaha's final visit to Security Service Field a forgettable one, as they completed a 3-game series sweep with a 17-5 win over the Storm Chasers on Sunday afternoon.

Omaha took the lead in the top of the 1st, as back-to-back homers by Brian Goodwin and Nicky Lopez gave the Chasers a quick 2-0 advantage.

Colorado Springs responded in the bottom of the 1st. Nate Orf and Dylan Moore singled, and both runners moved up on a fly ball. A wild pitch brought Orf home and sent Moore to 3rd, and Moore scored on a groundout by Domingo Santana.

In the bottom of the 2nd, Rymer Liriano walked, Andres Blanco singled, and both runners advanced on another fly ball. Dylan Moore doubled in both runners, and Tyrone Taylor followed with a 2-run homer, making it 6-2 Sky Sox.

Brian Goodwin's 2nd homer of the day cut the deficit to 6-4 in the top of the 4th; his longball followed a walk to Humberto Arteaga .

But Colorado Springs proceeded to score six times in the home half of the 4th. Dylan Moore doubled, Tyrone Taylor tripled, Domingo Santana homered, Jett Bandy doubled, Rymer Liriano walked, and Andres Blanco homered, giving the Sky Sox a 12-4 edge.

Jon Dziedzic (L, 6-9) was hit for 10 runs on 9 hits in 3.2 innings. He walked 5 and struck out 1.

Cam Gallagher and Donnie DeWees strung together consecutive hits in the top of the 5th, making it 12-5. The Sky Sox answered again, this time with a Tyrone Taylor single and a Domingo Santana homer, extending their lead to 14-5.

In the bottom of the 6th, Rymer Liriano walked again, Nate Orf doubled, and Tyrone Taylor singled to bring the score to 16-5.

The Sky Sox added one more in the last of the 8th. A Jett Bandy single, another Rymer Liriano walk (his 4th of the game), an Andres Blanco single, and a Nate Orf double play made it 17-5.

Paulo Espino (W, 1-0) pitched 4 relief innings for the Sky Sox, and was credited with the victory. He allowed 3 runs and 4 hits.

The Storm Chasers (58-67) will be off tomorrow, and will open a new road series in Oklahoma City on Tuesday night at 7:05. Starters for both teams are to be determined.
