From the Notes
That Homey Feeling: Tonight's starter, Frankie Montas has enjoyed home-cooking this season. In eight starts at First Tennessee Park he is 4-1 with a 2.58 ERA with 40 strikeouts and 11 walks. In five road starts he is 0-4 with an ERA of 8.10 with 11 strikeouts and 11 walks.
Milestone Watch: Frankie Montas needs five strikeouts tonight for 600 in his career, Beau Taylor needs one RBI for 300 in his career.
Pleading Against a Fifth: Following a 15-game winning streak, the Sounds have now dropped four games in a row to match a season-high. They last lost five games in a row from April 12-16, 2017.
Free Passes: Nashville pitchers issued a season-high nine walks in last night's defeat. The Sounds had previously walked eight batters in a game on four occasions.
New High: After not homering for nearly a month, Anthony Garcia finally belted his 20th home run of the season last night to set a new career-high. His previous high was 19, which he slugged in 2012 with Single-A Quad Cities.
