The Charleston RiverDogs came back from a five-run, eighth-inning deficit to beat the Lexington Legends 7-6 in 12 innings Sunday in Charleston. The Legends had broken a 1-1 tie with five runs in the top of the sixth inning, the last two coming home on a triple by Grant Hogue, who had two hits in the game. But Charleston rallied with three in the eighth inning and two more in the ninth to tie the game. After Rob Lylerly singled with one out in the bottom of the twelfth, Taylor Grote doubled down the right field line, and Lyerly scored without a play to win it for Charleston.

The Legends now travel to Kannapolis, N.C., where they will open a four-game series against the Intimidators tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m. The Legends open their home season Friday night at Applebee's Park against the Greenville Drive.
