LAKELAND, FL - The Canton Charge (12-16), powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, had a three-game win streak snapped at the hands of the Lakeland Magic (17-10) in a 116-104 defeat at the RP Funding Center on Wednesday night.

Malik Newman came off the bench for Canton to score a game-high 24 points on 10-of-14 shooting with seven rebounds and four assists in 30 minutes. JaCorey Williams netted 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds in 36 minutes. Scoochie Smith poured in 18 points with eight rebounds and five assists in 36 minutes.

The Magic made their move when trailing 47-41 midway through the second quarter, they rolled off a 17-4 run that would give them the lead for good. Lakeland's Amile Jefferson posted a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds in 36 minutes. John Petrucelli added 18 points, six assists and three steals in 32 minutes. Troy Caupain scored 18 points and grabbed five rebounds in 32 minutes.
