HERSHEY – The HERSHEY BEARS announced today in conjunction with the Tampa Bay Lightning that center Ryan Craig has been assigned to HERSHEY.

Craig attended training camp in HERSHEY and was assigned to Pensacola (ECHL) following the BEARS' exhibition season. An eighth round draft pick by Tampa Bay in 2002, Craig competes in his first pro season in 2003-04 after an outstanding junior career in the Western Hockey League. HERSHEY returns to the ice Saturday night to continue a five game homestand as the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins come to call at 7:00 p.m. The BEARS also play at home this Sunday against the Philadelphia Phantoms at 5:00 p.m. At 6-1-1-0, the BEARS are off to the team's best start since the 1971-72 season.
