Harrisburg Senators News Release
Harrisburg, PA - The Harrisburg Senators return home for a quick four-game homestand beginning Monday night against the Richmond Flying Squirrels (Giants). Even though the homestand is only four games long, that doesn't mean there isn't something for everyone. And the baseball should be fun too with LHP John Lannan expected to start on Monday night.
Lannan has been with the Washington Nationals the past two seasons but has been sent to Harrisburg. Lannan is one of just seven National League pitchers in 2008 and 2009 to start over 30 games and have a sub 4.00 ERA. The start Monday night for the Sens will be his third start for Harrisburg.
Along with seeing a big leaguer pitch on Monday night, the Senators have a fireworks extravaganza after the ballgame. Your weekend doesn't have to end Sunday night, it can carry right over into Monday with the Senators. The homestand concludes with a $2 Beers on the Boardwalk night Thursday at 7:00pm.
Monday, July 5, the Senators open their four-game series with the Richmond Flying Squirrels with a 7:00pm first pitch. Don't let your holiday weekend end with fireworks on Sunday night, keep on celebrating Independence Day weekend with the Senators Monday night and enjoy the largest
post-game fireworks show presented by the PA Lottery this season at Metro Bank Park. And as if that's not enough to wet your whistle, John Lannan starts for the Sens Monday night. The fun starts at 5:30pm when the gates open.
Tuesday, July 6, the series against Richmond continues with a 7:00pm game. Tuesday is another Kraft Singles Tuesday Night.
