Captains to Send Three Players to the Midwest League All Star Game

(Eastlake, OH) - The Midwest League has announced their mid-season All Star teams and the Lake County Captains have three representatives on the Eastern Division squad. Catcher Eric Haase will be joined by pitchers Robbie Aviles and Jordan Milbrath at the All Star game on June 17 at Fifth Third Ballpark in Comstock Park, MI, which is the home of the West Michigan Whitecaps.

Haase, 21, from Westland, MI, was the Cleveland Indians 7th round pick in the 2011from Divine Child high school. This season he is tied for the league lead in home runs with 10 and leads the league with a .557 slugging percentage.

Aviles (1-1, 1.45), a 22 year old right hander out of Suffern, NY, was drafted in the 7th round of the 2010 draft from Suffern high school. Aviles is the league leader in ERA and WHIP (0.86) and is fifth in Average Against (.203).

Milbrath (1-6, 2.92) is a 22 year old right hander from Sioux Falls, SD and was the 35th round selection by the Indians in the 2013 draft. Milbrath has been a tough luck pitcher this season. In his six losses as a starter, the Captains have scored five total runs, being shut out three times.
