Captains Defeat Bees 3-2 in Extra Innings

Burlington's Clayton Chatham sparkled in his full season debut, tossing five shutout innings, 50 strikes of the 74 pitches he made and striking out five. He left the game with a 2-0 lead.

The Bees could not hold it however, as Lake County came back with two runs in the eighth off Parker Joe Robinson to tie it. The Indians affiliate would go on the with it in the tenth, 3-2.

The Captains' Billy Wilson started the tenth as the placed runner on second. He was balked to third by Burlington reliever Luke Lind then scored on a one out sacrifice fly. The loss was Lind's third of the year against three wins.

Justin Jones continued to be hot at the plate. The Bees middle infielder went 2 for 4 and scored Saturday night. He is hitting .355 in his last ten games, with 4 runs batted in, a home run and six runs scored. Jordyn Adams was 2 for 5.

The two teams continue their three-game set Sunday afternoon at Community Field.
