Canadiens Recall Mathieu Carle From The Bulldogs

MONTREAL, QC - Montreal Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey announced today that defenceman Mathieu Carle has been recalled to the Canadiens from the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Carle, 22, has played in 11 games with the Bulldogs this season recording three points (one goal, two assists) and 10 penalty minutes. The 6-foot, 203-pound defender played in 59 games with the 'Dogs last year registering 29 points (seven goals, 22 assists) and serving 43 penalty minutes. The native of Gatineau, Quebec was selected in the 2nd round, 53rd overall by the Canadiens in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

The Bulldogs travel to Montreal to host the Binghamton Senators at Bell Centre on Friday, November 6th at 7:30 p.m. Fans can listen to every 'Dogs game on the flagship station of the Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Network, TALK 820.
