McCutcheon Released From Try Out

PORTLAND, Maine - The Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League announced today that they have released Mark McCutcheon from his Professional Tryout Agreement.

The veteran forward played five games for the Pirates this season collecting a pair of goals.

The Pirates (4-8-0-0) continue a four-game home stand Friday when the Hershey Bears (7-4-0-0) visit the Cumberland County Civic Center for a 7 p.m. start. It's United Way/Word of Life Night as the Pirates welcome fans who have supported the 2009 United Way of Greater Portland Annual Campaign as well as the members of the Word of Life Christian Center.

Sunday it's the Pirates and the Springfield Falcons (5-5-2-1) in a 4 p.m. game at the Cumberland County Civic Center. Bring your skates and stick around after the game to skate with the team, sponsored by Weight Watchers and Mercy Hospital.
