CDLA - $100,000.00 in donations

The CDLA (Calgary District Lacrosse Association) has been operating in Calgary since the late 1960's and has been growing ever since. Since the Roughnecks inception the CDLA has doubled its registration numbers in Calgary and area.

The Calgary Roughnecks financially supported the CDLA their first four years of operation by donating all 50/50 profits from each of their eight regular season home games plus funds raised during home playoff games. Last season was the first year the Calgary Roughnecks Charitable Foundation took over the 50/50 program and will continue to support the CDLA.

KIDSPORT - $11,000.00 in donations

KidSport Calgary was initiated in 1995 and has helped more than 10,000 Calgary kids get active and involved in sport programs exceeding $1.6 million in support.

KidSport helps to raise funds in Calgary to pay registration fees for KidSport kids to participate in sports programs and also gather used sport equipment for KidSport kids to use. KidSport also advocates the value and benefit of kids playing sport in the pursuit of lifelong health and wellness.

In 2005, the first year the Calgary Roughnecks teamed up with KidSport the partnership raised $3000.00 through the Canadian Western Bank Points for Kids program. This partnership consisted of Canadian Western Bank donating $100 for every point Devan and Taylor Wray scored in the 2005 season. In 2006 the program included then, Roughneck Andrew Biers along side the Wray brothers. Canadian Western Bank again donated $100 per point increasing their commitment by $1000.00 to $4000.00.
