
Wings To Make Three First Round Selections In 2007 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft

The Philadelphia Wings lacrosse operations staff, led by General Manager and Head Coach Lindsay Sanderson, makes three first round selections (fourth, fifth, and eighth overall) in the six-round NLL Entry Draft.
The NLL Entry Draft can be viewed through a live webcast at nll.com via b2 networks. The webcast is free of charge, and begins at 8PM. Watch the draft at nll.com and follow the draft results, they will be posted on the website as they happen. Joe Heyer (Wings TV play-by-play on Comcast SportsnNet Philadelphia) and Brian Shanahan (NLL TV analyst on ESPN2, Rogers Sportsnet) will announce the draft and interview players after they are drafted.
Upwards of 40 players are expected to attend, joined by fans and other guests. Also on hand will be the Wings first draft pick from 2005 and NLL All-Rookie Team member Sean Greenhalgh. Greenhalgh will add commentary to the b2 broadcast and sign autographs for fans in attendance.
The players available in the draft are a blend of graduating NCAA field lacrosse stars and Canadian box lacrosse players. Among the players expected to be top picks are Geoff Snider (University of Denver, Coquitlam Adanacs Sr. A and Team Canada field lacrosse), Illija Gajic (Burnaby Lakers Jr. A), Paul Dawson (Brampton Excelsiors Jr. A goalie), Brett Bucktooth (Syracuse, St. Regis Indians, Onondaga Redhawks, Iroquois Nationals), Kyle Sorensen (Bellarmine, Peterborough Lakers Jr. A), Kyle Dixon (Virginia) and Kyle Wailes (Brown, Toronto Beaches Jr. A) are expected to be among the top prospects.
