Calgary, AB - The Calgary Roughnecks pick Kyle Wailes in the First Round (9th overall) in the 2006 NLL Entry Draft. Following their first round selection Calgary traded for Chicago's second round pick (14th overall) selecting Luke Hinton in exchange for their second round (17th overall) and their fourth round (41st overall) 2006 draft picks.

Wailes, 22, is a 6'1" 195lbs. transition player who played for Brown University located in Providence, Rhode Island scoring 19 points (12 goals, 7 assists) in 12 regular season games in 2006. The Toronto, ON native led the Brown University Bears in scoring in 2005 with 35 points (5 goals, 30 assists) and picked up 17 loose balls.

Hinton, 21, was selected in the second round (14th overall) in a trade with Chicago in exchange for the Calgary Roughnecks second round (17th overall) and their fourth round (41st overall) selections.

The 6'1" 225 lbs. defenceman played for the Victoria Jr A Shamrocks collecting 15 points (5 goals, 10 assists) and 45 penalty minutes in 12 regular season games in 2006. He also played in 6 playoff games tallying 4 points (1 goal, 3 assists) and 7 penalty minutes.

Calgary is waiting on their fifth round (60th overall). Details to follow.
