
Bussieres Returns to Mallards

MOLINE, Ill. - Forward Raphael Bussieres has been reassigned to the Quad City Mallards by the American Hockey League's Iowa Wild, the Mallards announced today.
Bussieres, 22, picked up two assists in five games with Iowa after being recalled from the Mallards on November 24. The 6' 1", 195-pound Longueuil, Quebec native has scored eight goals and added 6 assists for 14 points while posting a plus/minus rating of +5 in 16 games with the Mallards this season.
Bussieres skated in nine games with Iowa last season. He also scored three times and picked up 13 assists for 16 points in 19 ECHL games with the Alaska Aces last year. As a rookie in 2013-14 Bussieres provided five goals, 14 assists and 19 points in 61 games with Iowa.
Bussieres was selected by the Minnesota Wild in the second round of the 2012 National Hockey League Entry Draft with the forty-sixth overall choice. He skated for four seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with the Baie-Comeau Drakkar and- briefly- Moncton Wildcats. Bussieres registered 74 goals, 94 assists and 168 points in 226 career QMJHL games. In 2012-13 he scored 29 goals and added 39 assists for 68 points in 60 games while helping Baie-Comeau to a division title and a berth in the QMJHL President's Cup finals.
The Mallards return to action on the road this evening against the Evansville IceMen. The Mallards next play at home Friday, December 18 at 7:05 p.m. against the Wheeling Nailers. The first 1,000 fans through the doors for that game will receive free Mallards winter caps courtesy of KWQC-TV6. December 18 also brings the return of $1 Dog/$1 Beer Night presented by 97X and MetroLINK College Night.
Single game tickets for all Mallards regular season home games- including the December 18 game- are on sale now at the iWireless Center box office, Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com and Ticketmaster charge-by-phone toll free at 1-800-745-3000. The box office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available for $10, $16, $20 and $28.
