Hamilton Bulldogs News Release


The Hamilton Bulldogs (4-6-0-0) will look for their fifth victory of the season tonight when they host the Toronto Marlies (3-6-0-0) in the second game of a home-and-home series. Hamilton defeated Toronto 4-1 on Thursday night, running their record to a perfect 3-0-0-0 record against the Marlies this season. The Bulldogs are tied for fourth place in the North Division with the Syracuse Crunch (4-5-0-0) and Cleveland Barons (4-6-0-0). The next meeting between Hamilton and Toronto will take place on Friday, December 2 in Hamilton.

- D Ron Hainsey has recorded two straight multi-point games and has nine points (2g-7a) in his last five games
- C Corey Locke has collected four points (1g-3a) in his last two games
- RW Duncan Milroy recorded his 50th point as a Bulldog last game, scoring his first goal of the season

o Michael Ryder and Alexander Perezhogin scored for Montreal, while Rory Fitzpatrick potted the first goal of the game for the Sabres
o Chris Higgins, Mike Ribeiro, Francis Bouillon, and Steve Begin each earned an assist for the Canadiens
- Former Bulldogs goaltender Yann Danis stopped 24 shots to earn the win
- Hamilton native Adam Mair also scored for Buffalo
OILERS NOTES
- D Danny Syvret made his NHL debut last night for Edmonton in a 7-2 victory at St. Louis, recording two shots on goal and posting a +2 rating.
- D Dan Smith played his first game for the Oilers last night, posting seven penalty minutes and a +2 rating.
- Five former Bulldogs had at least one point for Edmonton last night including Jarret Stoll (2g-2a), Raffi Torres (3a), Alexei Semenov (1g-1a), Fernando Pisani (1g), and Jani Rita (1g)
- Former 'Dogs netminder Jussi Markkanen stopped 34 shots to pick up the victory

The Bulldogs return to action tomorrow, Sunday, November 6, when the Grand Rapids Griffins visit Copps Coliseum. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
