The Senators tied the game 1-1 at 3:54 of the second stanza. Erik Condra grabbed a loose puck along the left side boards before backhanding a pass to Jim O'Brien, who was stationed in front of the net. O'Brien one-timed a shot past Hamilton starting goaltender Curtis Sanford and into the back of the net.

Ryan White regained the lead for the ‘Dogs at 6:54 of the middle frame. Ben Maxwell and White skated into the Binghamton zone on a two-on-one. Maxwell fired a shot that was stopped by Lehner but the rebound bounced onto the stick of White. White flipped a shot over the glove of a sprawled Lehner and into the top of the net.

Binghamton tied the game 2-2 at 1:25 with a power-play marker. Bobby Butler fired a shot on net that was stopped by Sanford. The rebound was scooped up by Andre Benoit, who snapped a shot past Sanford and into the net.

Hamilton made the game 3-2 at 12:28 of the third period. Palushaj sent a pass back to the point, where Weber was positioned. Weber released a slapshot that beat Lehner over the glove and sailed into the top of the net.
