Today's Game

Tonight, the Bisons take on the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders in the first game of a two-game set at PNC Field (7:05 p.m.). Buffalo has lost four straight, ending the home portion of their schedule with a 34-38 record...The Bisons will wrap up the 2015 season with a three-game series in Pawtucket starting Saturday.

vs. the RailRiders

The Bisons are 8-7 against the RailRiders. Buffalo can earn the season series win over Scranton/Wilkes-Barre with a win either tonight or tomorrow night. The RailRiders need just one win or a Rochester loss to clinch the IL North division title.

Andrew Albers

LHP ANDREW ALBERS makes his 15th start and 20th appearance for tonight. The southpaw lost last Friday to Pawtucket after allowing three runs in two innings of work. Albers has not faced the RailRiders since July 8, 2013 while pitching for the Rochester Red Wings when he allowed five runs in five innings in a loss at PNC Field.

MattVP is the MVP

On Tuesday, INF MATT HAGUE was officially named the 2015 International League Most Valuable Player today. Hague is the ninth Bisons player to win the award, 2nd most in IL history. The last Bisons player to be named IL MVP was SS Jhonny Peralta in 2004. Hague leads the IL in average (.344), hits (173), RBI (88), on-base pct. (.422) and total bases (240) and is 2nd in slugging pct. (477).

Player Awards

The Bisons passed out their annual End of Season Awards on Wednesday with INF MATT HAGUE being named team MVP and the 'Hometown Hero' (stats in home games). RHP SCOTT COPELAND was named Most Valuable Pitcher while RHP GREG BURKE was given the team's Community Service honor. Not currently with the club, LHP RANDY WOLF was named the Comeback Player of the Year and INF MUNENORI KAWASAKI was voted on by his teammates as the Most Inspirational Player.

Roster Move

LHP JOHN ANDERSON was promoted to the club from New Hampshire. He was 6-6 with a 4.62 ERA in 28 games with the Fisher Cats. Anderson is making his Triple-A debut.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (76-57) defeated Cleveland on Wednesday, 5-1. Former Bisons ace R.A. Dickey needed just 92 pitches for the complete-game four-hitter. Josh Donaldson had two more doubles and three more RBI. Toronto is off today and will host the Baltimore Orioles on Friday at 7:07 p.m.
