INDIANAPOLIS -- Josh Bell scored once and drove in two runs, John Bowker homered and the Indianapolis Indians reclaimed the top spot in the International League West division with a 6-3 win over the Columbus Clippers Thursday night at Victory Field.
The Tribe concludes its season's series against Columbus with a 1.0-game lead in the division, and the clubs will now alternate two-game sets with Louisville and Toledo to close out the regular season.
Bell had two singles and a sacrifice fly to account for half of the Indians' six runs. He also scored twice last night, finishing with five of the Tribe's eight total runs during the home set with Columbus.
Bowker homered in the sixth to pad the lead, 4-1, and seal starter Wilfredo Boscan's 10th win of the year. The right-hander Boscan has won six straight decisions and is unbeaten over his last 12 outings since June 27.
