Bryon Paulazzo Scores His First ECHL Goal but Thunder Fall to Idaho

February 22, 2015 - ECHL (ECHL)
Stockton Thunder News Release

Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder again manage to pepper the Idaho goaltender with shots, and even broke through for three goals on the night, but the Thunder fell in the teams' third-straight game by a score of 6-3 Saturday night. Quotes

"The puck went up to the point and I just went to the net. Next thing I know the puck is bouncing off my shin pad and into the net. Kind of a cheap one but I'll take it. It felt good because in the league I was in before this I was putting up a point or two every game; whereas in this league you can go five or six games without a point. It would have meant more if we would have won the game but it's definitely a good feeling getting that first goal out of the way." - Bryon Paulazzo on scoring his first ever ECHL goal.

"I just put out who I wanted to play against those guys because that was the matchup we wanted. It was nothing premeditated on our end at all. Just the matchup we had in mind from the beginning." - Head Coach Rich Kromm on the two fights in the first five seconds of the game.

"They won special teams. I thought we made some mental errors that cost us on the penalty kill. I thought we got caught cheating a couple times and they took advantage of that for sure. We will have to take a look at that and make some adjustments for tomorrow." - Coach Kromm on the Thunder's special teams struggles tonight.
