ECHL Announces Fines, Suspension

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Sunday announced the following fines and suspension resulting from ECHL Game #531, Wheeling at Toledo, on Feb. 21.

Toledo's Cody Lampl has been suspended pending a review and fined an undisclosed under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Lampl was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for boarding under Rule #41.5 at 18:30 of the first period.

Lampl will miss Toledo's game against Gwinnett today (Feb. 22) and any further discipline will be announced later this week.

Wheeling's Chaz Johnson has been fined an undisclosed amount under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Johnson was assessed a game misconduct under Rule #39.5 at 13:05 of the third period.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
