Game Preview

North Division rivals will clash on a Sunday afternoon, as the Kalamazoo Wings host the Wheeling Nailers. On the season, the K-Wings are 1-1-0-0 against the Nailers. Following today, the teams will square off two more times, including once more at Wings Stadium.

Kalamazoo's three-game winning streak came to an abrupt halt last night with a 7-3 loss to the Evansville IceMen. Today will conclude a four-game home stand for the K-Wings. On the season, Kalamazoo is 13-11-1-1 at Wings Stadium.

The Nailers will wrap up a three-game road trip this afternoon. Wheeling has dropped the first two legs of the trip by a combined a score of 10-2. Currently in sixth place, the Nailers trail the K-Wings by five points for fourth place in the division.

Last night the Nailers were shutout for the fourth time this season in a 5-0 loss to the Toledo Walleye. Wheeling is 2-1-0-0 following a shutout loss.

This season the Nailers are 2-0 in games ending in shootouts. Not only have they are they undefeated, but Wheeling is the only team in the league not to allow a shootout goal (9-for-9).
