Bryan Morris To Make BCB Debut On Memorial

ALTOONA, Pa - Highly-touted Curve right-hander Bryan Morris is on schedule to make his Blair County Ballpark debut on Memorial Day, May 31 at 6:00 p.m. against the Reading Phillies (AA - Philadelphia Phillies).

At the time of this release, Morris currently leads the entire country in earned run average (0.72).

Morris made his Double-A debut on Friday, May 21 at Erie after he was promoted from the Bradenton Marauders (Advanced - A). The Tullahoma, TN native was victorious going 5.1 innings while he allowed just one run on three hits en route to striking out seven batters. He is scheduled to make his second start in a Curve uniform on Wednesday night at 7:05 p.m. against the Akron Aeros at Canal Park.

The 6'3", righty was obtained by the Pirates in a three-way trade with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Boston Red Sox on July 31, 2008 in a deal that involved Jason Bay and Manny Ramirez. In the deal, Pittsburgh also acquired Andy LaRoche.

Monday evening's game will also feature a spectacular post-game fireworks show. To celebrate the holiday, all kids 14 and under can run the bases after the game.
