Broncos Acquire Picks from Medicine Hat for Ward

Swift Current, Sask. - The Swift Current Broncos have acquired three draft picks from the Medicine Hat Tigers in exchange for 2004-born forward Mathew Ward.

The Broncos acquire Pick #42 (2nd Round) in the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft, a conditional 2027 third-round pick, and a conditional 2028 fourth-round pick.

Ward (5'8"/175lbs), out of Kamloops, B.C. was the 14th Overall selection in the 2019 WHL Prospects Draft and played 199 games in a Broncos uniform, scoring 73 goals and adding 135 assists for 208 points across parts of five seasons with the club. He also added eight points in eight playoff games this season.

The Broncos would like to thank Mathew for his time with the club and wish him the best in the future.
