Blazers Acquire Defenseman and 2026 Second Round Draft Pick for Sanche

Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers have acquired 2005-born defenseman Niko Tsakumis and a 2026 second round pick from the Everett Silvertips in exchange for 2006-born goaltender Jesse Sanche

Tsakumis comes to the Blazers with 101 games of WHL experience where he has five goals, 19 assist and 24 points with Everett and Seattle. The 6'0" and 185lb left shot defenseman is from Richmond, BC.

Sanche was selected by the Blazers in the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft. In 30 games this past season with the Blazers, the Kelowna, BC native had a 6-17-1-1 record with a 4.66 goals against average and a .872 save percentage.

The Blazers will hold their 2024 Prospects Camp in Kamloops for the 2008-born and 2009-born players on from May 31st - June 2nd.
